Florian Zwißler is a composer and musician based in Cologne. He studied musicology, linguistics and philosophy at the universities of Tübingen and Cologne and electronic composition at the Folkwang University in Essen.
As a synthesiser soloist within various formations, he has performed throughout Europe and abroad. He has specialised in concert work with analogue synthesiser systems in both fixed and free musical contexts.
As a composer, he is currently realising a CD project for the German Music Council featuring works for historical studio synthesizers.
In addition to teaching at various universities and colleges, he is currently working on a research project at the University of Osnabrück investigating the theory of electronic sound terminology. As a sound director, he has worked in numerous concerts with all kinds of line-ups, from electronic music to orchestral works.
